Transactions/Payments Manager

What will you do

Transaction Processing

  • Oversee the processing of all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of transaction data.

  • Review and approve transactions within established guidelines.

  • Investigate error situations

  • Control the payment cards chargeback processes (the chargebacks processing will be provided by the transactions processing company)

Payment Management

  • Manage the payment process, including initiating payments, verifying payment details, and reconciling accounts.

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve payment-related issues.

  • Monitor payment deadlines and ensure timely payments to avoid penalties.

  • Ensure financial settlement cycles with payment card organizations

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant company policies and financial regulations.

  • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements (including requirements from international card organizations) related to financial transactions and payments.

  • Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and mitigate financial risks.

Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to transactions and payments including reports to international card organizations and financial controlling authorities.

  • Provide regular updates to management on transaction status, payment trends, and potential issues.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Product, Accounting and Operations, to streamline transaction processes and resolve issues.

  • Work closely with IT teams to optimize the use of financial systems and tools.

Vendor Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and payment partners.

  • Periodically negotiate payment terms and contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

What we expect

  • At least Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, with some in a managerial role

  • Strong analytical ability, with technical competency

  • Excellent command of English and Lithuanian languages

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders

  • Knowledge of credit card business is advantage

  • Previous experience while being responsible for providing documentation in high standard quality
