When you need additional security
As our client you can now secure your income against:

Insurance covered by Maiden General Försäkrings AB
Why do you need Security Insurance?
Saldo Security insurance is a voluntary insurance that provides compensation for loss of income in the event of involuntary unemployment, temporary incapacity for work and hospitalization lasting longer than 14 days as a result of accidents or illness. The purpose of the insurance is to cover specific actual costs. Examples of such fixed costs can be rent or condominium fee, home insurance, telephone/internet/TV, household electricity, parking space rent and vehicle tax.
Who does the insurance apply to?
The following requirements must be met at the time of application in order for you to be connected to the insurance:
you have turned 18 but not 64,
you have to be a client of Saldo,
you are at the time of application either
permanent employee,
temporary employee with a contract period of at least twelve months, or
self-employed and member of an unemployment fund,
with a working time of at least 17 hours/week,
you are fully fit for work,

All prerequisites as stated above must be met, otherwise the right to insurance compensation may be suspended in whole or in part and the insurance may be terminated. Note that the insurance is not accumulable and you can only have one active Security insurance at Saldo.
Where does the insurance apply?
The insurance applies when you are staying outside the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark) for less than six months. If you move to a country outside Sweden, the insurance ceases to apply. Stays outside the Nordic countries are not considered to be interrupted due to temporary visits to the Nordic countries for medical appointments, hospital care, business trips, holidays or the like.
Insurance premium and payment
The monthly insurance premium amounts to 6.5 percent of the selected insurance amount. The premium is notified monthly in advance by Saldo and must be paid in the manner stated in the policy. The premium is considered paid when it is received by Maiden General Försäkrings AB. The monthly insurance premium is shown in your insurance policy.

This clause applies even if a diagnosis or cause has not been established.

What are you compensated for?

Good to know about the insurance

Apply nowQualification time
The policy has a qualifying period, that is the period for which you must have been covered by the policy to be eligible for insurance compensation in the event of temporary incapacity, involuntary unemployment or hospitalization. For temporary incapacity for work and hospitalization, the qualification period is 30 days from the start date of the insurance and for involuntary unemployment 90 days from the start date of the insurance. This means that no compensation is paid if unemployment, hospitalization or incapacity for work begins during the qualifying period or if notice of termination of employment is received before the qualifying period is over.
Withdrawal period
The period for which the policy must be valid and an uninterrupted period of incapacity for work, involuntary unemployment or hospitalization that must elapse before you are entitled to insurance compensation. The cooling-off period is 30 days from the time the injury occurred, both for temporary incapacity and for involuntary unemployment. For hospitalization, the waiting period is 14 consecutive days.
Incorrect or incomplete information
If you or someone else who requests compensation from the insurer after an insurance event has intentionally or through gross negligence incorrectly stated, concealed or hidden something of importance for the assessment of the right to compensation from the insurance, the compensation that would otherwise have been paid can be reduced according to what is reasonable in the circumstances.
Right of withdrawal
After you have received the policy, you have the right to cancel your subscription to the policy within 14 days. In that case, you must notify the group representative or the insurer about this within the end of the 14-day period.
Insurance period
The insurance period is one month and the insurance is automatically renewed every month unless the insurance is canceled by you or the insurer in accordance with the provisions of this condition.
When does the insurance expire?
The insurance ceases to apply:
the first day of the month after you turn 67,
when you retire or start drawing a pension and work less than 17 hours per week,
if you receive an annuity or similar compensation,
if the insured dies,
if the policy is canceled by you or the insurer, see below,
if you move abroad and/or cease to be covered by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and/or are no longer registered in Sweden.
How do you terminate the insurance contract?
You have the right to terminate the insurance at any time. In that case, the insurance and the requirement for premium payment ceases at the end of the insurance period.
The insurer has the right to cancel the insurance at the end of the insurance period with 30 days' notice. The insurer also has the right to terminate the insurance during the insurance period only due to non-payment of premiums or if you have provided incorrect information which has led to you being granted insurance cover on incorrect grounds. The insurer's termination must always be in writing. Tact Finance AB has the right to terminate the group agreement in accordance with what was agreed in the group agreement. Such a termination results in all insurance ending on the day specified in the termination, however no earlier than one month from the date of termination.
